Herbert Kobald

Herbert Kobald is Junior Scientist in the Sensor Solutions Group at the Materials for Microelectronics Department of the Materials Center Leoben Forschung GmbH (MCL) and PhD student at the Montanuniversität Leoben (Austria) under supervision of Priv. Doz. Dr. Marco Deluca. He received a Master of Science in Advanced Materials Science with focus on semiconductor processing and nanotechnology with distinction from the University of Technology Graz (Austria) and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the same university. During his Bachelor’s and Master’s thesis he worked on different advanced techniques for materials characterization.

In the CITRES project, Herbert works on the synthesis, processing and characterization of lead-free perovskite ultracapacitors for energy storage applications.

In his spare time, Herbert likes to play tennis, go hiking and is passionate about skiing and cars.
